Read rules prior to interaction!!!
hey you! do you know you should be really proud of yourself!! why? because you made your blog, that you are capable of loving a character so damn much you’re willing to spend most of your day developing them and making other people see how perfect they are. the fact that you stress over giving you’re partner’s perfection whether its with your replies or even picking out a sentence for a meme, we all know that can be stressful.
what we do, as roleplayers, is so damn beautiful and we don’t give ourselves enough credit. so be proud of yourself ; be proud of you’re writing, be proud of your partners!
in how ever many years when most of us have probably deleted our blogs because life has caught up and we think back to our time on tumblr, don’t you dare think i wish i had done more, tried harder. YOU DO ENOUGH. YOU ARE ENOUGH. tell yourself that, write it on a piece of paper and keep it in a jar, make a post about it, scream it. take a deep breath and keep moving forward – your story is still being written, my friend, make it an awesome one!
If someone is private , selective, or anything at all —-it is because that is what makes them comfortable. It isn’t an action that is directed towards you to purposely insult you or your writing. Please, respect people && their comfort zones. They have their blog the way it is for a reason. Don’t guilt people into coming out of their comfort zone because you feel ‘offended’. If you’re offended by something that a stranger has done, then perhaps you should merely remove yourself from the situation entirely.

okay since i have an actual issue with this and it need to be addressed since it happens to me sometimes and it completely ruins my muse for a thread. talk to me in the tags. i have to say that being ignored when you try and talk to someone in the tags is one of the most uncomfortable things in the world. i’m not asking you to tell me about your life but at least making fun comments or interacting with writers is the biggest enjoyment of this place. i will not write with you if you don’t talk to me either in the tags or on skype. it won’t happen. it’s a really uncomfortable thing since i love reading tags or looking back in a verse tag and reading the conversations we have about things.
Gentle reminder that demeaning, devaluing, dismissing, or otherwise degrading the importance of a female character because she gets in the way of a popular (or not) m/m ship is really gross and not at all fucking okay in any capacity.
I mean—demeaning, devaluing, dismissing, or otherwise degrading fictional ladies is NEVER FUCKING OKAY TBQFH, but it’s especially gross to do it because that lady happens to interfere with your m/m ship. It’s disgusting. I understand wanting queer representation in fiction. Hell, I want it TOO, more than ANYTHING. But erasing women and their lives and importance and impact on the characters involved is NOT, nor will it EVER BE, the way to create queer inclusive media that is healthy and progressive and actually makes everyone feel represented in an empowering way.
Besides which, erasing women and/or women’s importance in the lives of male characters from a narrative so you can ship those male characters without conflict does NOT look like the creation of queer representation to me. What it DOES look like is the exploitation of gay male relationships for the sake of fulfilling the fantasies of people who are quite often not gay men themselves. And all of this at the expense of the women around those characters.
Now, I’m not saying no one can ship things outside their personal gender identities and sexualities, NOR am I saying everyone must ship straight if straight is canon. I’m just saying that if you feel the need to degrade the importance of surrounding (female) characters to make it work and avoid conflicts that arise from their presence—if you can’t respect the fucking agency of female characters, or if you feel like you must undermine them because they pose a threat to your ship—just take a step back for a moment and think about why you even find it acceptable to fridge women just so your male faves can bone in peace.
Also worth considering is that the same thing often happens to characters of color, and that somehow nearly all of the popular m/m ships are two white dudes.
If your shipping doesn’t have room for characters or color or women to even be friends with the guys you ship, you’re doing it seriously fucking wrong.
(Reblogging again for the very important annotation above.)
You are good at something, stop lying to yourself. You’re good at breaking down comic book plots, cooking ramen perfectly, making your friends happy, knowing the time without looking at a clock, getting the perfect ending at RPG’s, or figuring out the twist ending to movies. Don’t let society tell you your talents are meaningless because they don’t serve an economical purpose. Your talents reflect your interests and passions, and what’s important to you is important.

please reblog this post if you adore crossovers and AUs, i want to know just how many people love throwing their muse into situations they would never experience in their canon verse
friendly reminder that you are important and mean something to somebody and that your presence on this website is, despite whatever some negative people might say, incredibly wanted. friendly reminder that you are more talented than you might think and stronger than you might feel and that although this website and this community is meant to be just a hobby, you are incredibly brave for putting yourself and your talent out for the world to see. friendly reminder that no matter how many people disagree with how you might run your blog or write your character, there is no reason to feel ashamed or guilty or terrible about yourself. friendly reminder that I am proud of you for any help you might have sought on a bad day, for any threads you may have written or positive messages you may have sent after receiving hate, for any friends you might have made after a toxic experience, and/or for any headcanons you may have posted after someone has told you they are wrong. in short, this is a friendly reminder that you are awesome. keep fighting, okay? and keep writing.
